Jerome F. Buting, the defense lawyer from the Netflix series Making A Murderer will host a reading at the Orange County Library System’s downtown branch on Friday, September 13 at 7 p.m.

Buting will share behind-the-scenes insight into how police and prosecutors aided in the case of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey. His talk is entitled “Avoiding the Mere Illusion of Justice as a Criminal Defense Attorney: Thinking Outside the Box” and will include topics like handling media exposure, jury selection, pretrial motions, and how to minimize police and prosecutorial misconduct and, hopefully, catch them if there is misconduct.

Tickets start at $15 for general admission or $50 for a VIP meet-and-greet which includes a copy of his book, Justice: Inside Making a Murderer and America’s Broken System. Tickets are available for purchase HERE.
