RENDERINGS VIA CITY OF ORLANDO

As work on The Yard at Ivanhoe Village inches to a close, the time has come to ramp up the work for the second phase of the project just up Virginia Drive at the site currently occupied by The Venue.

The Venue, located at 511 Virginia Drive [GMap], is scheduled to close up shop on September 12, which we told you about HERE. Following their exit, the current building will be demolished and replaced with a three-story mixed-use building.

The new 16, 550 SF development will have new eating and drinking uses on the ground floor and be crowned with 24 new second and third-floor residential apartments.

The plans are currently in the review phase with the City of Orlando and will be discussed at the upcoming October 15 Municipal Planning Board but we have copies of the submitted designs below.

The plans include 31 surface parking spaces on-site and project developers are requesting a 20 percent increase in the 35-foot height limit as well as a 20 percent reduction on the setback along New York Avenue.

The next phase, following The Yard at Ivanhoe, is The Yard – Crossman site, directly across the street on Virginia, which will completely surround The Hideaway Bar, which we last told you about HERE in 2016. A timeline for that larger project has not been made public at this time.

The Venue (Website) is currently in the midst of celebrating the last days of their Ivanhoe-based performance space with a redux of their greatest hits entitled Hammers and Lambs, as seen below. Bungalower has been told that they will be announcing their next steps in the coming weeks, including where they may be moving to.
