The onePulse Foundation has just announced the purchase of a 1.75-acre parcel of land near the Pulse Nightclub for the construction of their much-touted Pulse Museum.

The foundation has purchased the land located at 438 W. Kaley Street [GMap], roughly one-third of a mile from the nightclub property, for $3.5 million. The deal closed officially on September 13.

The foundation is also trying to purchase a nearby property to the nightclub site as part of their plans for a permanent memorial.

The National Pulse Memorial and Museum is expected to open in 2022.
