We often get photographs and tips from our Bungalower readers of things that are happening around town, so we have started featuring them on the site in a series called Eyes on the Street, in honor of our favorite urbanist Jane Jacobs.

A new Philly Cheesesteak restaurant called Loading Zone Philly Steaks (Instagram) is opening in the former home of Beth’s Burger Bar at 24 E. Washington [GMap] in downtown Orlando.

Details are sparse and we’ve reached out to the owners but what we do know is that they will be making “authentic” Philly cheesesteaks. If you don’t know, that means thinly-sliced, sauteed rib eye beef, Cheese Whiz/American cheese/provolone, and a long crusty roll to soak up all the juices.

An opening date for Loading Zone has not been made public at this time.

Beth’s Burger Bar closed their downtown location on Friday, December 21 last year and we wrote about it HERE.
