The Central Florida Foundation (Website) is looking for at least 500 locals to host small-group conversations in a community event happening on Thursday, October 24.

The Table Talk event invites Central Florida residents to engage in candid conversations about forces affecting our community; talking about the good, the bad, and how to fix them. All on the same day.

The Foundation is looking for 500 people to sign up as hosts and invite friends and neighbors to sit with them to discuss the topics. Simply gather up with 6-10 guests, choose a fun location (like the library, a park, or nearby bar), and bust out your Host Toolkit which includes a step-by-step guide, tips for successful conversation, and resources for the Table Talk.

Conversation prompts include:

  • What do you like about your community?
  • What would you change? Why is that important to you?
  • What can everyone at the table do to contribute?

After the event, participants are asked to complete a survey and share what key concepts and goals came up during the talk.
