Safr (Website) is a new women-focused ridesharing service created specifically for women.

The company will launch in Downtown Orlando on Tuesday, October 1, via their app, which is available for both Android and ios users.

Safr claims that their service was launched with the needs of women in mind and that they aim to improve the lives of women everywhere through safe transportation, job creation, and financial security.

Safr will kick-off services at the new UCF/Valencia Downtown Campus on October 1 and October 3, with a series of giveaways for students and have signed on as an official sponsor of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer’s 2019 State of Downtown Address on October 2.

Safr’s initial service area will be Orlando’s urban core including the UCF/Valencia Downtown Campus, and the surrounding sports, and arts and entertainment venues.

Safr is currently recruiting more drivers to offer secure and convenient service for locals, mothers, children, and elders alike; and will soon offer delivery and errand services as well.

Anyone interested in driving for Safr can email Olivia Cockerham [email protected] and Rene Pitts, [email protected] for more information.
