We first told you about Orlando’s new cat cafe, The Kitty Beautiful (Facebook), back in December 2015 HERE.

The concept found a 1,300 SF home at 360 State Lane [Gmap] in December 2018 and they are finally in soft-opening in downtown Orlando with a grand opening scheduled for November 1.

David and Heather Strauss, the owners of Orlando Organics (Facebook) have divided the space in two; one side will feature a regular coffee shop with espresso drinks, teas, beer or wine, hand-crafted sodas, cold-pressed juices and more. And the other side will feature a room where cats can be watched, played with, and adopted.

The cafe will also be home to local vegan baked goods CayCakes Bakery.

A fee of $10 will allow guests into the separate play area to chill out with up to a dozen free-range adoptable cats, sourced by the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. All adoptions facilitated by the cafe come with a full copy of each animal’s medical records, a trial membership to PetFirst insurance, a $50 voucher for veterinary services with Pet Alliance, a free bag of food, and a basic microchip registration.

The Kitty Beautiful is working with the UCF Center for Autism Related Disabilities to employ young adults on the autism spectrum.

Operating hours in October are noon-8 p.m.Monday, Thursday and Friday, 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, and noon-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
