A new Philadelphia-inspired restaurant will open in the recently-vacated home of Felipe Rodriguez Tequila House and Kitchen (Facebook | Website) at 900 E. Washington Street [GMap] in Thornton Park.
Cavo’s Bar and Kitchen (Facebook) will specialize in Northeast cocktails and food out of Philadelphia and New York. The folks behind the new concept are Johnny Markaj, John Cavallini, and Mark Cavallini – all of whom come with a connection to the Thornton Park Anthony’s Pizza. Markaj was the former owner of Anthony’s, John Cavallini was the chef there.
The team is planning on opening in early December.
Felipe Rodriguez Tequila House closed on Sunday, October 13.
