The curriculum is hand-crafted for the students, combining aspects from educational systems like Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emila and Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. It offers both part-time and full-time programming for students from kindergarten to 12th Grade.

Walden Community School is a non-profit, non-sectarian, private, independent school located at 4595 Howell Branch Road [GMap] that was established in 2002 by Dr. Carol Mikulka, who defines the school as “a community of learners dedicated to educating the whole person.” Dr. Mikulka explains that  students are challenged to develop academic skills, social and emotional abilities, and creative capacities in a collaborative environment.
