Fire causes Beefy King to close temporarily

Beefy King (Facebook | Website) caught fire in the early morning hours, Tuesday, November 12.

While the cause of the fire, which was found near the back drive-thru of the building, is still being determined, FOX 35 reports that arson is likely. Footage from a security camera is being reviewed.

The fire was reported by pedestrians nearby around 1 a.m. when they spotted smoke coming from the roof.

The family-run restaurant just celebrated its 51-year anniversary and is expected to reopen in a few days following brief repairs as damage appears to have been minimal.

Beefy King is located at 424 N. Bumby Avenue [GMap] in the Milk District.
