UPDATE 11/20: The Lake Alert for Lake Concord has been lifted. Please resume all normal water activities associated with the lake.
City of Orlando Water Reclamation crews stopped a sewer overflow that was caused by a buildup of grease in the pipes.
150 gallons of the estimated 300 gallons of sanitary waste released by the overflow were recovered and the affected areas have been sanitized.
As a precaution, signs will be placed around Lake Concord warning of possible elevated fecal coliform counts from the spill.
All water activities and irrigation from the lake should cease.
