SoDo getting new artsy sidewalks

-

The SoDo District is getting fancy new crosswalks at multiple intersections throughout the district, including the following intersections:

  • Orange Avenue and Grant Street
  • Orange Avenue and Michigan Street
  • Orange and Pineloch Avenue

The gridded design is inspired by orange slices and will feature the SoDo District logo on each crosswalk. While sporting the logo, the crosswalks are in fact an effort by the SoDo Neighborhood Improvement District and the Florida Department of Transportation and not funded by the SoDo Mainstreet.

The designs are made using DuraTherm rather than regular paint and are built to handle heavy traffic.
