CityArts and the Downtown Arts District hosted a community fundraiser at their new headquarters in the historic Rogers Kiene Building on January 11 to fund an ambitious courtyard expansion planned for a long-ignored alleyway that encircles the northern and eastern edges of the property. And we have an early rendering of what they’re planning.

The planned courtyard is being designed by local firm Interstruct Design and Build (Website) which is also working on Lincoln Property Company’s Church Street Station Tower Two site.

Lincoln Property Company has since offered their services to repurpose vintage materials from their building site that they are removing from the Church Street Ballroom to be used in the new outdoor public plaza, including cast iron decorative fencing, glass lattice structures, antique bricks, steel trusses, and more.

The park project is estimated to cost $600,000 including the in-kind donations from Lincoln Property.

CityArts is located at 39 S. Magnolia Avenue [GMap].
