PROMO: Opera Orlando (Website) will host a site-specific Wild West-inspired performance of Puccini’s The Girl of the Golden West at Cheyenne Saloon and Opera House and the Ceviche Ballroom on Church Street on Friday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 9 at 2 p.m.

The show, which was originally written in Italian, will be sung in English and is based on the play by David Belasco and premiered at the Metropolitan Opera House in 1910 and features a cast of singing cowboys and a card-playing, bible-reading saloon owner named Minnie who has to decide between love and the law during the gold rush era of California.

The first act will take place in Cheyenne Saloon before the audience picks up and moves over to the Ceviche Ballroom across the street for Act II, and then returning again to the Saloon for Act III.

General admission is $125 and includes appetizers, desserts, a specialty cocktail, and complimentary wine. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
