UPDATE – Precautionary Boil Water Notice LIFTED

The City of Winter Park is issuing a precautionary Boil Water Notice for Winter Park residents that were affected by a water outage early on February 11.

The areas affected include portions of Kingswood Manor, Queenswood Manor, Asbury Park, Forest Edge, and Lake Weston neighborhoods.

This advisory is a reuslt of an 8-inch water main break that resulted in a water outage in the aforementioned areas.

Those affected should:

  • Boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.
  • Water should boil for at least one minute.
  • Bottled water can be used of course – but that makes trash.

The notice will remain in effect until the water main work is completed and surveys show that the water is safe to drink – likely 48 hours.
