Edit: Royal Tea will begin serving at the East End location at the end of the month.

Popular donut pop-up, Mochi Dochi (Website), and Instagram-favorite Royal Tea (Website) have teamed up to open a new donut/tea shop at East End Market.

The new shop is currently in soft-opening on the second floor of the Audubon Park food hall, operating only on Saturdays and Sundays at the moment, though they will be expanding to Thursdays and Fridays in the near future – they’re waiting on some more vital equipment to expand their production capabilities.

Mochi donuts are a cross between a classic American donut and the chewy Japanese rice dessert that results in a funky ring of yummy flavors that resembles a child’s bracelet. That’s been fried and covered in icing.

Royal Tea is known for its freshly-brewed teas using natural ingredients. All of their teas are insanely Instagrammable and tasty which is why you often see lines wrapped around their building in Mills 50 at 714 N. Mills Avenue [GMap].
