Time capsule discovered during hospital construction in Winter Park

-

Crews working on the construction of a new emergency department at Advent Health Winter Park discovered a time capsule last week.

As you can see in the following photos, the capsule, which was labeled “1953-1963,” was opened by AdventHealth Winter Park CEO Justin Birmele and was found to host a number of news clippings and other historical documents from the early days of the hospital.

Once complete, the new, 27,000+ SF will feature all private rooms, two trauma/bariatric rooms, and a separate ambulance entrance from the public walk-in entrance.
