UPDATE: CITY OF ORLANDO – LAKE ALERT FOR LAKE CONCORD HAS BEEN LIFTED.
City Water Reclamation crews were called to stop an overflow of a clogged sewage pipe, caused by grease buildup. Don’t put your cooking grease down the drain.
An estimated 250 gallons of the 400 gallons that escaped was recovered from the spill and all ground surfaces areas have allegedly been sanitized by the work crews.
The City will monitor bacteria levels in Lake Concord until further notice but in the interim, all water activities must cease.
