SPONSORED: Art & History Museums – Maitland (Facebook | Website) will host the most Halloween event ever, but in March.

On Friday, March 13, the museum will host the Paranormal Investigation of the Waterhouse Residence Museum, where guests will be invited into the National Historic Landmark after dark to hear stories of unexplained events that have been reported at the Center over the years.

A&H will team up with American Ghost Adventures (Facebook | Website) and open up the Victorian-era home on the shore of Lake Lily, for paranormal exploration. Three tour times will be offered at 6:30 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. and tickets are $40 per person, or $35 if you happen to be a member of A&H.

Throughout its history, the Waterhouse home has had numerous instances of visitors and staff members who claim to have experienced strange noises, flickering lights, and other spooky incidents within the home, which is one of the oldest remaining homes in Maitland.

Built in 1887 by William Waterhouse, the home stayed in his family until the 1980s when it was donated to the City of Maitland. A&H maintains the home as a tribute to what life would have been like for the earliest settlers in Central Florida.

During the Paranormal Investigation tours, each guest will be provided with an EMF reader and a set of dowsing rods, and after some training, they will head into the house with a guide leading the way, and a member of the A&H team on-hand to provide background knowledge on the home’s history.

Art & History Museums – Maitland uses the proceeds from these tours to maintain the historic home, so you can feel extra good about your choice of Friday the 13th fun this year. Click HERE for more information.
