Back in December 2019, the Orange County Government allocated $500,000 to United Arts of Central Florida, to fund a new grant program that would subsidize venue rentals for local arts organizations. We told you about it HERE.

United Arts has just announced the recipients of its first cycle of Orange County Venue Subsidy Grants, where nineteen organizations were awarded grants totaling $277,687.

United Arts is now accepting applications for its next round of Venue Subsidy Grants with a deadline of June 2, 2020. Applicants are eligible for a maximum of $50,000, or not more than 50 percent of the total venue rental and related venue costs for performances and exhibitions that fiscal year. Only Orlando Ballet, Orlando Fringe, and Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra were awarded maximum funding in this round.

The following organizations were awarded grants for the corresponding venues for this first round of 2020 funding:
