Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings announced at a March 24 press conference that he would be imposing a shelter-in-place order for the entire county, closing all non-essential businesses.
Businesses allowed to stay open under the order include appliance repair, banks, gas stations, grocery stores, hardware stores, health care facilities, pharmacies, and restaurants.
Orange County residents will still be allowed to leave their homes to get essentials and pickup takeout items as well as to walk their dogs.
The two-week order will come into effect at 11 p.m. Thursday, March 26 and remain in place until April 9.
