The Orange County Library System is looking for a new boss.

Mary Anne Hodel, who has served as the Director/CEO of the library system for the past 18 years, recently announced that it was her intention to retire. A national search has been launched to find her replacement.

Applicants must have a master’s degree in library science and at least ten years of professional librarian experience to apply. Five of those years should have been spent at a managerial level.

The salary ranges from $151,882 to $160,000 based on experience and qualifications.

The Orange County Library System operates 16 branches, including the main library in downtown Orlando, has over 400 employees, and operates with an annual budget of $61 million. It serves over 1.3 million people in the county.
