The Orlando Ballet (Facebook Website) has announced that it has canceled the remainder of its 2019-20 season as a result of the pandemic.

The cancellation includes upcoming performances of Mowgli – The Jungle Book and Uncorked but the production of Made In The USA: A Collection of American Works has been postponed until Fall 2020 and will take place at Harriett’s Orlando Ballet Centre in Ivanhoe Village instead of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts as originally intended.

Season ticket holders have been given the option of taking credit for the next year’s season but is taking requests for refunds at this time.

All dancers and staff will be paid through the end of the season according to a company spokesperson who contributed it to “… the continuing generosity of our patrons and donors.”

The Ballet has partnered with the Orange County Public School System to provide online dance instruction to every school in the county that has a dance program via a new program called PCPS Arts Behind the Screen.

The Ballet is also recording live adult drop-in classes for people of all levels.
