On Friday, April 24, you can join the Orange County Regional History Center’s chief curator, Pam Schwartz, and Bungalower’s editor, Brendan O’Connor, on a Facebook Live cooking class featuring an old Florida pioneer recipe.

The first video workshop shared how to make chicken purloo, which you can watch HERE, but this second installment will be focusing on the forgotten Southern delicacy that is sour orange pie.

It’s just like a Key lime pie, but made with oranges – calamondin oranges, to be specific. They’re small and super tangy that are common throughout Florida and sometimes called “miniature oranges” or “sour oranges.”

The cooking will commence at noon on Friday, April 24 on the History Center’s Facebook page. If you’d like to follow along, you’ll need the following ingredients:
