The time has come to drink the fruits of your labor, Orlando.

On April 13, we launched a fun DIY project with our friend Chef Eliot Hillis, culinary director of Orlando Meats (Facebook Website) and host of Off-Cuts podcast (Website) to sell special kits that would let people make rice wine at home.

The $10 DIY kits would let Orlandoans try to make Korean Farmers Wine or makgeolli or makkoli, at home. Makgeolli is a lightly sparkling rice wine with a milky white coloring that is anywhere between 18-25 percent alcohol and is highly nutritious due to a high concentration of amino acids, sugars, and organic acids.

You can watch Part One of the series HERE.

Orlando Meats is open for delivery and curbside pick-up and is located at 728 Virginia Drive [GMap] in Ivanhoe Village.
