Following a directive put forth by Governor Ron “I Need A Haircut” DeSantis, work on the I-4 Ultimate project will be intensified this week while traffic is reduced due to the pandemic.

Beginning as soon as 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, westbound I-4 will be reduced to one lane between Princeton Street and Gore Street while crews work to shift traffic to the new westbound general use lanes. Additionally, I-4 and 408 entrance and exit ramps in the area will be closed at varied times throughout the week.

Extensive closures will be required through the downtown corridor and drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes while this work takes place.

These work is scheduled to run through Monday, May 18.
