The South Street Ministry Church property at 2113 E. South Street [GMap] could soon house townhomes and single-family residences in the near future if approved by City Hall.

We told you HERE in January 2020 that the 4.83-acre property was for sale and asking $3,250,000 and apparently someone scooped it up. According to paperwork filed with the City of Orlando, a developer is proposing a multi-phased development that includes retaining the existing church building while also erecting 31 new townhomes and nine single-family residences.

As-is, the project would require an estimated 129 total parking spaces.

The project is scheduled for review at the June 23 Municipal Planning Board meeting.
