UPDATE: We have currently rescheduled the screening of Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark to June 19  due to the curfew and the Lake Nona’s screening of Back to the Future to June 13 due to weather.

Bungalower is teaming up with non-profit arthouse cinema, Enzian Theater (Facebook | Website) to host a four-part drive-in movie series through June to provide safe, fun ways to get out of the house during the coronavirus pandemic while also supporting the theater while it is closed to the public.

The first movie in the series is The Princess Bride and will take place at 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 22 in the plaza at 2846 Curry Ford Road [GMap], hosted in partnership with the Curry Ford West District (Facebook | Website).

Participating Curry Ford West restaurants will be offering special movie take-outmenus include:

Other Curry Ford restaurants that will be open during the Friday night movie include Pizza Bruno and Kathi Rolls.

Tickets for this event have already sold-out in advance of the screening – in less than a day, actually – but we have three more events scheduled.

  • May 29 at (Location TBD) screening Back to the Future
  • June 5 at Ace Cafe screening Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark.
  • June 12 at Ace Cafe screening E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

Tickets for each screening are announced via email to Bungalower Buddies members in advance and Enzian Theater e-newsletter subscribers.

At this time, to promote physical distancing protocols, movie viewing must take place within a vehicle. Cyclists and pedestrians will not be allowed to attend onsite and all audio will be piped through an FM transmitter and directly into movie goer vehicles.
