November’s OG Sperry Fountain at Greenwood Cemetery by Allyssa Taylor

The City of Orlando’s Historic Preservation Board is currently seeking submissions from local photographers that feature Orlando’s historic structures fr its upcoming 2021 calendar.

The City of Orlando has printed a special historic preservation calendar every year since 1991 to call attention to our local historic resources. This upcoming year’s calendar will focus on structures that are at least 50 years old that are located within city limits and that can include homes, commercial buildings, monuments, signs, or fountains.

Each photographer who is chosen will get bragging rights for the year and a $100 honorarium.

Contest submissions must be sent in or postmarked by July 30, 2020 at 5 p.m. and can include up to three photographs. They must be black and white and printed on 8×10 or 8.5×11 photo paper with a white border. Vertical or horizontal photographs will be accepted but must be labeled with photographer name, daytime telephone number, e-mail address, address of the subject, site address label.

Photos without a site address will be disqualified.

You can mail the photographs to the Historic Preservation Office, P.O. Box 4990, 400 S. Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL 32802.

  1. I have several calendars from previous years to give away if anyone is interested. The pictures make each calendar too nice to throw away.
