Belanger Bagels (Facebook | Website), the Montreal-style bagel shop that we told you was moving into the former home of Sugarbuzz Dezert Company in College Park last week, is already expanding operations.

As first reported by Amy Drew Thompson at Orlando Sentinel, Belanger Bagels will be serving their product at Eola General. The owners of Eola General decided to cease their relationship with Swan City Bagels on Friday afternoon when it came to light that the owner, Racine Richman, had a history of posting hateful things on her personal Twitter account, as reported by Orlando Weekly.

According to Eola General co-owner Shaun Noonan, Belanger Bagels will be providing fresh bagels every morning while also maintaining their newly-opened storefront in College Park. Eola General will be serving a unique bagel flight with a variety of schmears unique to their location as well as continuing to serve bagels provided by Bagel King, who was the source for Swan City Bagels’ menu.

Eola General is located at 522 E. Amelia Street [GMap] and they are currently donating $200 a day to local bail funds to support local protesters.

Editor’s Note: Belanger Bagels is looking to hire staff that are passionate about baking and learning about how to make amazing bagels. Contact [email protected] for more information.
