Orlando Ballet is looking for a new Executive Director

-

Orlando Ballet (Facebook Website) is looking for a new Executive Director.

The most recent director, Shane Jewell, who was hired in June 2018 fresh from a stint as the director of Oklahoma City Ballet, inexplicably parted ways with Orlando Ballet during the past few months. A reason for his departure has not been made public. While with the local company, Jewell oversaw the opening of Orlando Ballet’s new headquarters in Ivanhoe Village and some tough negotiations with Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Orlando Ballet recently made a tough decision to cancel the remainder of its 2019-20 Season in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

The search for a new Executive Director is being led by a committee of trustees with the hopes of identifying a candidate by mid to late summer of this year. A salary has not been released at this time but you can find more details HERE via ArtsJournal.com.
