The City of Winter Park will move its annual 4th of July celebrations online this year in light of the pandemic.

The City, which believes it cannot safely accommodate large public crowds during the recent spike in coronavirus cases, will host a “virtual event” instead. The “online event” will feature a performance by the Bach Festival Brass Ensemble and Choir, Sean Holcomb, and a video commemorating the birthday of the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, commemorating its move to Park Avenue in 1995 from Rollins College.

The video will not be streaming live, but rather will be pre-recorded and posted to the City’s website and social media accounts at 9 a.m. that morning.
