The Orlando Pride (Facebook | Website) has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming National Women’s Soccer League tournament after six players and four staff members tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The month-long Challenge Cup was scheduled to begin this Saturday in Utah with Orlando Pride facing off against the Chicago Red Stars for the first match of the season.

The names of the staff and players who tested positive have not been released but allegations have been made that a group of the players had failed to practice safe social distancing and had recently gone out to a bar.

Orlando Pride has stated that is players and staff have all received medical attention and will be isolated for at least 14 days.
