Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings launched a new regional communications campaign at the annual State of the County last week to encourage businesses and residents to abide by CDC recommended COVID-19 safety guidelines.

The newly-launched “Safer, Stronger, Together” campaign was developed by Visit Orlando and the Orlando Economic Partnership with the participation of over 100 local leaders across Orange, Osceola, Lake, and Seminole counties, as well as local business owners, media groups, and healthcare executives.

Businesses can access recommended support tools and guidelines via a website at DoYourPartORL.com and are encouraged to take part in the “Orlando Promise” commitment to responsibly follow the guidelines put forth as part of the state’s phased opening. The promise includes the following actions:

  • To have hand sanitizer available
  • To wear face coverings
  • To practice good hygiene
  • To follow social distancing and capacity guidelines
  • To follow CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting
  • To train employees on COVID-19 safety procedures

Campaign resources are available in English, Spanish, and Creole and include printable posters, web graphics, and a social media toolkit.
