It’s July Fourth weekend and everyone wants to celebrate Independence Day but with current restrictions on public gatherings and Florida bars not being allowed to serve alcohol on-site, this year’s celebrations feel a little different.

So here’s a roundup of things you can do that are safe, fun, and memorable this weekend. Use the emojis to help you discern each activity – ๐Ÿงจ for fireworks; ๐Ÿ–๏ธ for the beach; ๐Ÿฆ… for patriotic event; โœŠ๐Ÿฟ for protests; ๐Ÿ˜œ for something weird and wonderful.

  1. ๐Ÿงจ SeaWorld Orlando is hosting fireworks every night between July 3-5 in the middle of the park. General admission tickets to the park include the firework show. More information HERE.
  2. ๐Ÿงจ Legoland will host its annual Red, White, and BOOM event on July 4 and guests will get special glasses that make the fireworks look like bricks. More info HERE.
  3. ๐Ÿงจ Eustis will have a firework display at 9:30 p.m. on July 3. More info HERE.
  4. ๐Ÿงจ Dundee will host a drive-in firework viewing at Lake Marie starting at 9:20 p.m. July 4. More info HERE.
  5. ๐Ÿ˜œ An Anime Bike Club is hosting a 4th of July motorbike ride to Sugarloaf Summit. The caravan leaves Ace Cafe at 9 a.m. that morning. More info HERE.
  6. โœŠ๐Ÿฟ An Anti-4th of July Protest will be hosted at Lake Eola Park at 3 p.m. on July 4th. Attendees are asked to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
  7. โœŠ๐Ÿฟ A “Blackout Movement Day” will be hosted at Lake Eola Park with everyone wearing black and marching in solidarity with Black Lives Matter. A free block party will be hosted afterward with food and beverage. More info HERE.
  8. ๐Ÿฆ… Winter Springs will host a “Celebrate Freedom Parade” as a caravan of city vehicles and police cruisers weave their way through the city starting at 6 p.m. from the Winter Springs Police Department. More info HERE.
  9. ๐Ÿฆ… Thornton Park is hosting a street party at the Osceola Circle by Lake Eola Park and World of Beer. They will have live music and DJs from 6-10 p.m. through July 5th every night. More information HERE.
  10. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Get out of town and check out St. Pete Beach. The Gulf Coast is only a 2-hour, 112-mile drive away and we’ve got a bunch of tips right HERE in a previous “Straight Trippin'” piece we did.
  11. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Ginnie Springs is only 139 miles away from Orlando but they have a campground if you’d like to crash overnight and have a few beers. The campsites are fairly distanced from each other and you can barbecue without being too close to any strangers. Find out all the info you need right HERE.
  12. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Want to spend as long as possible on the water without having to do anything? Rainbow Springs is for you. You can chill out on an inflatable for about 3-4 hours and drift up to the dock at Swampy’s Bar and Grille for a quesadilla and more than a few cold beers.   13. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Do your doggies hate fireworks? Pack them in the car and head up to New Smyrna Beach where they have a dog-friendly beach to tire them out all day before heading back home. Toss them a CBD treat and they’ll be snoring through all the noise. More info HERE.

  16. ๐Ÿ˜œ ICON Park on International Drive has reopened with a mask requirement and you can visit a wax museum, the aquarium, and take some selfies on The Wheel between the hours of 10 a.m.-2 a.m. daily. More info HERE.
  17. ๐Ÿ˜œ Crayola Experience at the Florida Mall is back open and taking visitors at 50 percent capacity through the weekend. The one-day admission fee of $24.99 now qualifies you for unlimited visits until the end of the year. More info HERE.
  18. ๐Ÿฆ… The Colonialtown North Roundabout is hosting a socially-distant flag raising and chalk art contest at the Colonialtown North Roundabout. Commissioner Patty Sheehan will judge a chalk art contest with the winner getting a $25 gift card. More info HERE.
  19. ๐Ÿ˜œ Semoran Skateway is hosting an Independence Day Celebration with a special skate session. The first 100 skaters will get a free light-up binky. More info HERE.
