EDIT: This post originally said that the last day of operations for this shop was August 1 but it is actually August 31.

The Carousel Emporium (Facebook | Website) is set to close on August 31 and the owner is hoping to sell the business before that happens.

The popular antique warehouse is located at 2000 Alden Road [GMap], just up the street from the newly-opened Orlando Ballet building and The Yard at Ivanhoe, overlooking Lake Formosa.

The owner, Meloni Turk, told Bungalower that the decision to close was precipitated by her recent marriage and the new couple’s desire to travel. An online auction is scheduled for August 15 for any remaining merchandise, but shoppers have until August 31 to purchase things in-person. Turk has already started discounting her wares at 40 percent and will scale it up to 90 percent in the last week of operations.

Shop hours are currently 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

A purchase price for the business hasn’t been shared publicly but the sale would come with the lease for the warehouse, inventory, clients, and social platforms. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Carrie Duvall, 1st and Main Partners, at 407-718-8955 or [email protected] for more information or to arrange a tour.
