The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce launched an Economic Task Force in August with a mission to develop safe initiatives that would stimulate businesses and the local economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The task force has chosen the following events that will be financially supported by the Winter Park community Redevelopment Agency.

MUSIC IN THE PARK

Small musical performances will be hosted in Central Park and Shady Park every Friday and Saturday night from 6-9 p.m., featuring local bands and talent. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the newly-launched Curbside To-Go program to grab a meal for a picnic in the park during the performances.

MOVIE NIGHT IN THE PARK

The City of Winter Park, in partnership with Enzian Theatre, will host free movies from 7:30 p.m. (or sunset) at various parks through October. Advanced registration is required to reserve a 10×10-foot movie pod for small groups of up to six people.

  • September 10 – Three Stooges Meet Hercules in Central Park
  • September 24 – Movie TBA in Martin Luther King, Jr. Park
  • October 8 – Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman in Central Park
  • October 22 – Movie TBA in Ward Park

SIDEWALK SALES

Park Avenue District and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce will host their popular sidewalk sales, in the style of their recent Mother’s Day Weekend street market initiative, on the second weekend of each month through December, with a kick-off on Friday, September 11.
