Bungalower Media and Milk District Main Street were awarded $1,000 from the local chapter of the Awesome Foundation to be used to build milk crate furniture for special events by the district. That project was put on hold in the spring when news came out that T.G. Lee was to be sold to the Dairy Farmers of America – T.G. Lee was in discussions to donate the milk crates to the project.
With the added need for outdoor dining apparent during the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was resuscitated and coupled with an added donation from local developers Elise Sabatino and Giovanni Fernandez, we were able to hire local woodworker/artist Robert Henry Thompson (Instagram) to build the furniture for us.
The milkcrate street furniture is now available for use at the following Milk District businesses:

Thompson says that he used over 864 zip ties and drilled roughly 1,728 holes while making these pieces.
