UPDATE: Non-essential travel can resume (if it hasn’t already), gyms can open to full capacity, government meets can be held in-person, theme parks can resume normal operations, sporting events can consider reduced capacity (which they were already), retail stores can operate at full capacity, concert halls and auditoriums can open.

Governor Ron DeSantis announced today that the state would be entering Phase 3 of re-opening, including restaurants and bars operating at full-capacity, effective immediately.

According to the governor, there will no longer be operational limits enforced by the State of Florida on local businesses, and that in his latest executive order, municipalities would be prohibited from restricting the re-opening of businesses, and also prohibits local governments from collecting fines related to pandemic-related mandates like wearing masks in public places.

We will update this post with a link to the actual executive order once it’s made public.
