4 Rivers Smokehouse (Facebook | Website) opened a satellite location for its barbecue chain on the ground floor of Orlando City Hall back in October 2015 but has recently announced that it will not be renewing its lease.

The restaurant was forced to close during the pandemic at the same time City Hall was closed to the public. The lease was set to expire on October 31, 2020, and as City Hall is still closed, 4 Rivers made the decision to walk away rather than to renew the lease.

4 Rivers invested $300,000 in the renovation of the space, which was formerly a family-run diner.

A spokesperson for the City of Orlando, told Bungalower that they will begin the process to find a new vendor to fill the space once City Hall has reopened to the public.
