Ivanhoe Village-based artist Andrew Spear (Website) has just completed a large tribute mural to former Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg on the side of Burton’s Bar in Thornton Park.

The mural was completed the same day that the U.S. Senate confirmed Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, to replace the recently-deceased Justice Ginsberg, who passed away on September 18.

The mural was sponsored by the Thornton Park Main Street program, the Orlando branch of the Awesome Foundation, Commissioner Patty Sheehan, and Thornton Park Main Street board members. The RBG portrait joins a wall already adorned with the likeness of Billy Manes, who passed away in July 2017.

Burton’s is located at 801 E. Washington Street [GMap].
