Orlando Mayor Dyer self-isolating after possible COVID-19 exposure

Mayor “Buddy” Dyer is in self-isolation following second-hand contact with somebody who was exposed to a COVID-19 patient.

Mayor Dyer has announced that he has tested negative for COVID-19 since learning of the exposure but that he will be self-quarantining and working from his house for the near future to ensure he doesn’t have the virus or risk spreading it to anyone else.

With the virus still impacting our community, this remains uncharted territory for us all, me included. This week I found out I was exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19. While I had no symptoms, out of of caution I got a rapid test and received a negative result.

The announcement was made after he missed a Saturday event.
