MARKET ON MAGNOLIA OWNER, PETE DOWNING, PICTURED BEFORE OPENING OF BAR, 2017.

Market on Magnolia (Facebook | Website), the popular bar/food hall in downtown Orlando, is closing.

The food hall concept opened in the former home of Frank and Steins in September 2017 and featured three food stalls and a full-service bar. Guests could order from any of the stalls while sipping on drinks and watching the game or chatting in the corner.

Market on Magnolia owner, Pete Downing, told Bungalower that when faced with the decision to renew the lease in light of the lack of office workers in the Central Business District due to COVID-19, he had to make the tough decision to walk away.

As you can see in Downing’s statement on the Market on Magnolia Facebook page, embedded above, the last day of business for the food hall is Wednesday, November 25.

Downing is the owner of Da Kine Poke and is also part of the recently-revived Wally’s Mills Avenue Liquors in the Mills 50 District which we wrote about HERE.
