Orlando Health has begun distributing the COVID-19 vaccine from Moderna to high-risk clinicians and non-clinicians at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital.

The new vaccine was administered to a team member at 7 a.m. Wednesday, December 23 at the Lake County hospital and was the first Moderna innoculation used at the hospital since it was authorized.

Approximately 900 team members at serious risk of exposure to the virus will receive the free vaccination throughout the day, before continuing on Monday, December 28 at the central campus, and being rolled out at other sites the following week.
