Orlando’s tourism agency, Visit Orlando (Facebook | Website) has hired a new president and CEO.
Previous CEO, George Aguel, announced that he was stepping down this past summer at a board of directors meeting, months ahead of when his contract was set to expire in 2021. More on that HERE.
Casandra Matej, most recently the president and CEO of Visit San Antonio, has been named as his replacement and is scheduled to take the reigns in February 2021. Matej comes to the role with over two decades of experience in the tourism industry with stints at Visit Dallas, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and Hyatt Hotels.
