Lake Estelle by Advent Health has been closed to the public due to the presence of microcyctins.

The toxins are the result of a recent algae bloom in the lake and the City of Orlando has determined that the levels of toxins are potentially unsafe. As a precaution, all water-contact activities on the lake are to cease until further notice.

The City will continue to monitor the levels in the lake until further notice.
