Brianna Feldman, the wife of Jamie Feldman, owner of Fuel and the newly-revamped Wally’s Mills Avenue Liquors, is opening a new takeout and delivery pizza kitchen located south of downtown Orlando at 4781 S. Orange Avenue [GMap].
Buttercrust Pizza (Instagram | Website) will specialize in “butter crust pizza” including “Grandma Pizza” which is more commonly known as “thin Sicilian” which originated in Long Island. The butter helps make the dough a bit crispier than the average crust, and the higher edges make it similar to a Chicago Deep Dish, though not that intense of a dish. Feldman told Bungalower that she was inspired by the perfect slices at Prince Street Pizza in New York, but she will also have “regular pizza” available as well.
While the concept will be delivery-focused and available on sites like UberEats and DoorDash, a takeout window will be available for in-person pick-up but there will not be a dining room on-site.
Feldman expects to open her pizza kitchen in the next few months.
