“I’ve been in the industry a long time and inclusivity is really important to me. Meeting people where they’re at, especially right now [in the pandemic].”

A new gym is opening in Baldwin Park and it specializes in 45-minute sessions.

F45 Baldwin Park (Instagram | Website), where “45” is the number of minutes you’re there, is based on an Australian workout routine of functional (that’s the “F”) circuit training. The new Baldwin Park location is owned and operated by Tara Strauss (Instagram) a certified master trainer for West Mills who used to work for 24-Hour Fitness before the pandemic, training at the then 450 different club locations – there are now half that number due to the shutdown.

Strauss, a Reebok-sponsored athlete in her own right, is also married to Rob Strauss (Instagram), a Season 25 Finalist of Amazing Race, a competitor from Titan Games with Dwayne “We Totally Smell What You’re Cooking” Johnson, and a WWE star under the name “Robert Stone” and he will also be teaching some occasional classes at the gym when not caring for the couple’s twins and wrestling.

The new gym, located at 4841 New Broad Street [GMap], is scheduled to soft-open on Saturday, January 23 with its inaugural class at 8 a.m. Classes will be held throughout the day with spaces between each to allow for deep cleaning.
