As first reported by Orlando Weekly‘s Faiyaz Kara, Mills 50 will be getting a donut shop in the near future.

Mochi Dochi (Website), a local craft donut pop-up specializing in Japanese mochi donuts, has just announced that it will be opening a new location at 1222 E. Colonial Drive [GMap].

The concept, founded by childhood friends Jason Le and Frank Phan, began as a pop-up at East End Market in Audubon Park in 2018, and then expanded to Boxi Park in Lake Nona the following year, then opened a small shared storefront on the second floor of East End Market with Royal Tea (Website).

Dochi (Instagram) will feature fresh, in house-crafted Japanese mochi donuts with flavors that include Ube Glaze, Taro Pebbles, Fererro Rocher, and the Japanese-inspired Matcha Oreo.  The brand has also collaborated with local chefs to create limited-edition flavors like the Maple Bacon Glaze, which features housemade bacon from East End Market stall, Hinckley’s Fancy Meats (Instagram).

Dochi in Mills 50 will be open 7 days a week, and offer event catering along with delivery through UberEats, and Doordash. An opening date has not been made public at this time.
