2/26 UPDATE: The Lake Alert for Lake Copeland has been lifted. Please resume all normal water activities associated with the lake.
Lake Copeland has been closed to public use due to a spike in naturally-occurring toxins resulting from a recent algae bloom.
As a precaution the City of Orlando is asking that all residents refrain from swimming, recreating, and irrigating in/from the lake until further notice.
The City will continue to monitor the lake until it is deemed safe for human activity.
